FAMILY & ADULT CAMP
Family Camp
Family Camp weekend is a meaningful vacation for families, parents and grandparents. Family Camp’s relaxed atmosphere provides a unique opportunity to share the magic of Herzl Camp as a family.
It is a perfect way to introduce future campers to the Herzl experience, a chance for current campers to introduce their parent(s) to Herzl Camp and a way for all families to experience Jewish camping together.
The weekend is filled with fun whole family activities as well as activities for children and separate programming for parents and grandparents. Highlights of the schedule:
Thursday - After you arrive, choose from these activities as a family: rock climbing, swimming, boating, basketball, tennis, or gaga. After dinner, the whole camp comes together at the bonfire for singing and s'mores!
Friday - Time to enjoy time on your own as the kids select programming by age including water games, art, dance, or ultimate Frisbee. Adults take a bike ride out of camp, tackle our rock wall or just relax. Shabbat begins with the traditional Herzl Caravan followed by family-friendly services overlooking the lake.
Saturday - After services, join in the Family Kickball game or head to the waterfront together. In the afternoon, adults and kids go their separate ways for programming by age. Saturday night is the Annual Family Camp Talent Show followed by Havdallah led by our Teen Campers with a little help from our amazing staff.
Sunday - Enjoy some free time while kids are engaged in programming by age before heading home!
